Interface Zero Detroit
The Splatterpunks are a Detroit thrill-kill gang. While they lack any real pull in the Detroit area, they are dangerous for the seemingly random nature of their attacks combined with the sheer cruelty they inflict upon their victims.
The modus operandi of the Splatterpunks seems to follow a cycle. First, the members find a neighborhood to establish themselves in for a short time, usually one with a significant amount of urban decay in which to hide. Then they will begin roving the area and looking for targets of opportunity. It is considered a point of pride that they do not pre-select or stalk targets, but instead they go after the low-hanging fruit that happens to fall in their path. Once targets are found, they ambush them with sudden, explosive violence. Should any targets survive, they are usually taken away and tortured to death for the sheer amusement of the gang members. Understandably these activities give the Splatterpunks a pretty poor reputation in Detroit. Both due to the animosity generated by their actions and their violent activities, the Splatterpunks themselves tend to have a short lifespan. Interestingly enough the gang seems to have endured many near wipeouts. The handful of surviving members will gather more likeminded members to replenish their ranks, and then they will begin the cycle again.
The gang’s clothing and appearance seems to harken back to an antiquated 1980s punk/rockabilly vibe. They do, indeed, seem to have quite the fondness to loud music, especially punk rock. There have been reports that Splatterpunk attacks have been presaged by music being blasted on car radios as the members move in for the kill.
